Hi,

Iam Ramesh Bhandari from india, I have a questions for my brother, As he was perceiving his masters in france, Due to lack of communication problem(i mean language problem and some other problems), He want to drop his studies in middle, and planning to study in canada. Is it possible to study in canada from france?. Please let me know it will be very helpfull.

NOTE: Currently he is in long stay visa.

Thanks,
Ramesh Bhandari.

Yes - it's possible - but will likely be difficult.

To be approved for a study permit to Canada, he will have to demonstrate that he is a genuine student and has no plans on remaining in Canada long term. It will be much more difficult for him to prove he is a genuine student if he hasn't completed his studies in France. It's also going to be more difficult to show ties to his home country and prove he has no plans on remaining in Canada long term if he is applying from outside of his home country.

Does he plan to take a Master's in Canada? If so, then he likely has some chance of being approved provided he includes a letter with very convincing arguments as to why he hasn't completed his Master's in France.

Can i know, what the other stuff i have to prove as a genuine student?
He have to apply from home country or current living country?
Can i get whole process in detail please, As he don't have much time.

Thanks,
Ramesh Bhandari.

I would recommend you read through the discussions in the International Students section of the forum.

It's his choice if he applies from his home country or country of current residency.

The details process is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study.asp

ThankYou Mam for your help, i really appreciate your help. If any further questions i will reach you, Once again Thankyou.....

Hi mam,

As we discussed earlier, Is my brother have to apply from france or from home country?.
If from france, plz let me know the process.
If from home country, Let me know the way, where he can apply from france itself.

Please help me out from this problem asap.

Thanks,
Ramesh

He can apply from either country - it's his choice. The process is the same for both countries. He needs to follow the instructions provided in the link above.

Be strong. Be couragouse. prayerful. I have read from threads that its is difficult to get a study permit from a country other than your own. what i have to say is this. all study permits undergo through same process no matter where you are. which are: Proof of funds. which means you have to proof you have enough funds to cover your stay in canada( then source of income matters). you need to proof your family ties i.e social ties to your home country.travelling history, education.medicals and the rest. for your situation write an explanation letter explaning why you did not complete your course or program. explain why you did not apply from your home country. is your purpose study in canada reated to you previous studies. proof you will be able to return to you country after your studies. when you provide all this things you and in the path to get your visa ilespecial if you LOE is genuine. you atleast have a travel history. it doesnt matter where you apply. just provide a document to convice the the visa officer you are a genuine student and you are capable to finance your stay in canada then you will get your visa

Hi,

Can my brother get admission in colleges or universities in canada for masters studies, he got 5.5 ielts(6,6,5,5.5), if not can he get conditional admission?. Plz let me know, will be helpful.

Too low for a Masters. He needs to retake IELTS and score at least 6.5 in each of the four categories.
