Hi All

My nephew has done +2 Non Medical with 65%. Today he got his IELTS result:
Listening: 8.0
Reading: 6.5
Writing: 5.5
Speaking: 5.5

Overall: 6.5

We want to apply for his Study Permit for September 2014 Intake. Can we do that right now?
Secondly as he has done Non Medical, can we apply for Business Administration courses or we have to stick with course related to his previous studies. And what are the chances to get Visa in Business Administration courses for a Non Medical student.

Thanks...

On or before August 1 st is the dead line for submitting your visa! Better apply for a course relayed to previous studies..! But still you have your chances of getting visa for businesses administration! You have To do GIC too. So having less than month will really put u in danger!

Thank You very much Dr.Raj

I have one more question. Now according to new rules can you change the college or course after coming into Canada or it's not possible now?

you can change course but ithin the specified date from th clg and u have to inform cic

Thanks Lucifer

So the course can be changed within the same college/university or it can be different college as well? I have heard that now Designated Institute code will be printed on the Visa and you have to stick with same college until the course ends.

NOPE I HAVEN'T READ THAT. WITH THE NEW RULES, THEY WILL MAKE EVERY INTERNATIONAL STUDENT TO TAKE UP STUDIES IN CANADA SERIOUSLY. ASK SOMEONE ELSE THEN BECAUSE I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. BUT I HAVE READ THAT U CAN CHANGE COLLEGE IF U WANT BUT U MUST INFORM CIC. ALSO DIFFERENT CLG HAS DIFFERENT DEADLINES FOR THIS. FOR EXAMPLE CONFED CLG HAS 12 DAYS DEADLINE THAT A STUDENT MUST REPORT CHANGING CLG OR COURSE FROM THE DATE OF STARTING OF CLASSES. GOOD LUCK TO U. HAVE A NICE DAY/NIGHT.
