Want to sponsor an Afghan refugee child from Turkey

Hello Folks,

I'm from Afghanistan and I'm a permanent resident sponsored by my husband. My husband was a protected person in Canada and now he's also a permanent resident. My nephew who's 15 years old escaped persecution by Taliban to Turkey attempting to go to Europe and apply for asylum. He's stuck in Turkey and is without a status. Please advise me how to sponsor him to bring him to Canada.

Is your nephew an orphan? Are either of his parents still alive?

Sorry for the late reply. I had issues signing in into my account.

Both his parents are alive and they are in Afghanistan. He's alone by himself in Turkey.

Thanks Scylla. I read the whole webpage and it's only organizations that can sponsor or group of five. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any organization or five people to help in sponsorship. Do anyone knows if there's any other way to bring him to Canada.

He can connect with UNHCR in Turkey and be recognized officially as a refugee. UNHCR then works with countries like Canada to determine where refugees can be resettled.

However there's no guarantee he will be identified for resettlement in Canada. He may be sent to another country.
