Hello. I'm a Canadian citizen. Born and raised in Canada. My girlfriend is in Colombia and I would like to have her visit me in Canada.
She is 22, a university student so she doesn't work right now. I am willing to cover her travel cost and expenses while she is here.
How are the chances of her getting a visa? Is there anything I can do to strengthen the application? She is only coming for a week as she has to get back for her exams and stuff.
I see so many rejections on this forum that I am worried that she will get rejected too. Anyone have experience with a similar situation? Or a Colombian getting a visa ?

I am going through a similar process with my girlfriend from Manila. What's her financial standing? I am told another way to help strengthen the application is write a letter of invitation. I also got some answers from people here. I can't post the link to the thread, but look up Visitor Visa for Filipina. Some of the answers might help you, with your Colombian girlfriend.

how much money you have in your account , do you have a place to stay, what are her ties to her country,

5000$, she Will be staying at my place. She is a university student in Colombia half way through her law degree and all her family lives in Colombia.
We put in the application on Wednesday so we will see.
*fingers crossed*
