Is it possible can I go back home and come back canada for january term, 2015.

I have valid study permit and valid visa till 2016.

I did not enroll in any school from 2013 septemner till now due to did not meet the language requirement.Now I want to go back home because I could not pass ielts test here and now I am feeling really home sickness and frustrated. I got just 5.5 bands in ielts test.


Is it possible can I come back Canada with good ielts test score and got admission in college.?


Please I need help from you guys. Thanks very much for your time.

mostly people get turned away on re entries. (don't risk as it has been a year and you have not enrolled yet) so my suggestion is to not go back instead ask your father or mother to come to Canada so that you can feel at home.

learn ielts through youtube and internet, buy some books, you will surely be able to pass it.

it has happened with many students that canada refused to renew their visas or study permits. (yours is valid till 2016, i knw that.)

So, I can not go back home it is risky, but you told me also I can not renew my visa if I need to extend it in future right now I have admission in 3 years diploma so how can I renew my visa ? because I can not complete my diploma within validity of my study permit. I mean till upto 2016. However, I will be able to complete my diploma till 2017.


Please kindly help me and do my favour in this regards. I will be very grateful to you.

This is complicated, technically under the new rules you are in violation of your SP since you are not enrolled full time in a designated learning instituion.....

So, according to the way I read the rules, you are already without status in Canada.

Agreed. According to the new rules you are already out of status in Canada since you are not attending school. I would return home as soon as you can. Once you are ready to return, you may have to obtain a new study permit.

wouldn't it more easy to renew study permit while remaining in Canada ?? I am sure that he will not be given visa if he tries to come back after exiting Canada.
What ya say about this?

"As of June 1, 2014, all study permit holders in Canada will need to actively pursue studies. This means that:

if you hold a study permit, you must remain enrolled and make reasonable and timely progress towards completing your program; and
failing to do so could lead to your removal from Canada."

if he is removed it will be even worst..... best course of action is leave as soon as possible.
also please dont give advice if u dont know the implications.

my advice was based on his text that he has 5.5 in IELTS and therefore, with little more effort can enroll soon and try to get in status.
removal can have more devastating implications, I agree. But he definitely cannot reenter the way he is planning to do so.

Anyways, I don't mind being corrected. knowledge is generated from experience and discussions.

No one is stopping you.

Technically, after June 1st, 2014, you are already out of status. Your first school is now bound to report your status to the CIC.
