Dear Experienced friends,

I am new in this forum. I need your valuable opinion and suggestion for the following please:

I want to do a masters from Canada in Human Resource Management. Currently I am working as a HR manager in a multinational company in Bangladesh.

My age is 45 now. I am married, Mentionable, I applied before in skilled category (FSW) in 2014 but got rejected because of insufficient experience ground.

My concern is- will earlier FSW rejection be a problem for study permit/visa even after 8 years .

At this situation will I get visa if I apply for study permit ?

Looking forward to your advice and experience sharing.

Thanks in advance.

Where have you been accepted? Do not apply to a private DLI. No one can tell you your chances but rejected EE profile is not an issue. You need to declare it. You need to show funds, justify costs of program building on education and showing that you will be making considerable more when you return to Bangladesh.

At your age, you will not get points for Express Entry so if immigration is your goal then check to see if possible after completion of program. If you are completing around 50, a nomination or invitation may not happen. Many people come to study in Canada and don’t get PR. Do you have children and if so what are their ages?

Thanks very much Naturgrl, My aim is immigration or PR after completing degree. Yes, my two children's age is 9 and 4. Please advise.

Do you have acceptance into a Masters program? You really need to research immigration programs. You will be close to or over 50 by the time finish studies and work in Canada for a year, so you need to see if you are even eligible. PR programs are designed for those from 25-35 years old. Studying in Canada doesn’t guarantee PR and your age is definitely a factor. You would not want to spend a considerable amount of money studying and then not be eligible for PR. Bringing your family on a study permit is not guaranteed either. Your children need study permits too. You need to show funds to study and support your family.

Thanks very much again for writing clearly. By the way, is the schooling free for dependent children (Age below 10) ?
