Walk In passport surrender application

Hello ,

I had a couple of questions.

I recently applied for my Canadian passport( previously am Indian passport holder)

I just had two questions.
1.What is the likelihood that I can easily surrender my passport as a walk in (there are no appointments available online) for Toronto or Brampton
2. There is no appointment available for OCI application available either ,should I do a walk in or should I mail instead?
3.When is the best time to try and book an appointment?

1. Read in forum that people are waiting in line since midnight
2. Walkin is better if you want to validate everything is proper. Mail is easy to do.
3. Slots are opened for the whole month. There is no best time. Keep an eye for it by regularly checking.
