Hello everybody , I have a question about waiting time after a medical exam. I'm a December of 2014 applicant inside Canada ( family sponsorship). I did my med.exam on April 18th this year. After one week CIC received the result . On June 6th I received the letter from CIC that I need to renew my Police certificate so , I did it and sent to CIC on July 8th and on July 28th CIC forward a new certificate to the responsible person ( I received a letter about it) and will contact to me if it will necessary . So guys, today is November 14th and I hear nothing from CIC . From April it is a six and a half months, but if count from the end of July, it is a three and a half months. Based on the information of CIC usually it takes three months after receiving the medical results to the passport request . Any thoughts or advice? What do I need to do ? Call to the CIC office or just wait? But how long should I wait? A lot of questions but no answers(((((((((((( Next February it will be twenty-six months ( processing time ) since we sent my documents . Just make mi upset and angry  :( . Thanks.....

You can call CIC to enquire. They may still be reviewing the background check. As far as passport request---that is for Outland applicants, not Inland. You are waiting for your landing interview letter. If the agent at CIC is not helpful, you can contact your local MP for assistance. Have you ordered your GCMS notes?

GCMS are notes---you can order them...takes 30 days approx to receive. If you order the electronic Officer notes for applicant file, you'll be able to get an idea on the status of your app. shows the notes that are in their system made by the agent processing your application.

here are some instructions w/ links. instructions are slightly out-dated, but helpful. http://www.familysponsorship.ca/requesting-gcms-notes/

There are 2 types of interviews....All inland applicants must attend a landing interview---it's called that, but more just an appointment to sign a form, answer a few basic questions, say congrats, and give them pictures for your PR card. The other interview is if they question your relationship---but not for all applicants.

Thank you very much. If I understood correctly , my husband should order it? No me?
Either person can order. You just select which notes you want. And if the person making the order is not the same person's file notes you are asking for, make sure to complete IMM5744. I myself (applicant) generally order the notes for myself---getting applicant info, but we include the IMM5744 so my Sponsor's info is not blocked.
