Waiting since June (5 months) for Study Permit - India

Hi, I think I would be the one who's been waiting the longest since the last 5 months. I submitted a paper study permit application along with Biometrics on 14th of June at Delhi VFS.

Every time my representative writes a follow up to the High commission, we get a generic response mentioning the application is under process. The most recent response was received about a month ago. We shared the new admission letter with the high Commission last week, but I don't know what else to do. The September'19 admission was deferred to January'20, but what happens if I still don't get my visa in time. The Jan session begins on Jan 6. Do universities extend a third time? At this point I'm not even sure if i'll get an approval or rejection. This has been the most frustrating wait everrr!!!!

Is there anyone else with a similar situation as mine? Any help/advice is appreciated at this point.

Yeah there are many people who applied in June/July whose applications have stayed 3, month some 4 months , paper based . I think they have backlogs, also I heard it takes time for the papers to be sent to Canada and back , coupled with the delay which might be as a result of the past election , I passed my Medicals since July 29th till now no response . But just be patient hopefully we will get our visa month end/dec .
