I applied for a student visa before my work permit was expired and my PR application was filed while I was waiting for student visa
I am still waiting PR but my student visa will be expired soon

if both you and your child are on visitor visa, your child if allow to attend public school will need to pay international fee.
Your child actually needs a study permit.
