waiting period for health card in Edmonton

Hi All
I am Canadian citizen and my wife came to Toronto 3 years back from India as PR and Applied for OHIP in ontario and got the health card after 3 months of her landing in Canada.Then we move to Germany after 7 months stay in Canada because of my job. Now we are planning to move to Edmonton next month and would like to know what is the waiting period for health card in Edmonton? Is it again 3 more months or will be eligible from day 1 as we have the health coverage from other provinces? I need to know it because my wife is 4 months pregnant.

You should phone AB health to make sure. However, if you were outside ON for more than 6 months, you already lost your OHIP and since you are outside Canada for more than 2 years, I think most likely AB health will treat your move as an international move and not a move from Ontario so you should be able to get first day coverage.
