Waiting for PPR

My medical results was received (as indicated by the mail carrier) on Feb 26. Since then I am waiting the PPR letter. PCC and everything were also sent. My AOR letter said that I am placed in priority list and my case will be expedited.

So its been a bit more than 3 months. Which is still in the time table ... somehow.

I wish I would know when I would be receiving the letter. I was planning to go home for 2 weeks, but I am delaying it until I get the PR visa.

A Question related to this matter,

When a passport is requested CIC from an applicant and the applicant has already left USA, can the applicant still mail the passport from India ? Or can it be mailed from India to a friend in USA and the friend send it to Canada embessy ? I have already given my address of communication as my friend's address in the application and all communication from CIC comes to my friend's permenant address.

I am aware that the CIC and AINP should be informed of any change of address. But I am just curious if this can be done.

Thank you for the answer

So I decided to take the advise and I send the State PCC. CIC never asked for one from me.
I sent them FBI clearance and home country PCC. My current state does not issue state PCC. But I issued one from the previous state and sent it today. I hope this would point out my file and hopefully they look at it.

this is for Mani

If you go to Indian consulate website it clearly states that it is illegal to send your passport out of your country of stay via mail or courier); so you cannot send it; you will need to come to USA with your passport (or ask one of your friends to carry it with him physically, with you authorising him to carry it on your behalf); without this letter your friend also cannot carry it legally.

My E-CAS says:

In progress, Started working on your case January XX 2009.
They never said that they received my medical. Mail Carried says it was received in Feburary.

Called CIC, they said the normal message "Background check".

They never asked for state PCC, but I sent FBI, and all these certificates with the original package. They said that I dont need an interview and I am placed on the priority processing. We are in min June and no PPR.

So I sent a PCC from my state, hopefully they will draw attention to my file.

Which consulate is processing your application now? Did you apply under alberta h1b visa stream?

Why not request to transfer the after medical process to home country. Tell them that because of Family circumstances I am unable to come US/

From my knowledge, if your visit to india is not temporary, you should inform them about the address change (indian address, not your friends address in the US). there is a possibility that they might ask you to send the passport to their consulate in india.

Sometimes when they waste abit of time its about background check. You've done madicals which has been recieved, you've send FBI and state PCC so just be cool. I think you'll hear from them soon.
Good Luck
