Hi all

I received my letter from CHC, asking for updated PCC & other details

They asked for Landing fees as well, but didn't asked for Medicals. Infact, first they ticked it and than crossed it.

Maybe, they will ask for Medicals after they received my updated details.

Don't worry you should get your medical req in couple of week .
I got my MR but no PR fee requested yet .

I understand your frustration; long waiting periods especially in the early time of application is worrying and distressing. I guess, your ecas will turn into "in process" very soon and medicals shortly after that.

I wish to ans ur Q.
If u r staying in UAE its easy,u need to register for exam first, pass it then try job.
Dubai sharjah abudhabi hv diff boards for exams.
U need to choose area first and then take exam.

it is so frustrating. it is everybody's understaning that the med req is not issued until they have a positive background check result. but it doesn't seem to be very true...so even med req should no longer be a consolation, u might still have to wait for months after that.

It is true that waiting times are non-consistent but it seems to be genarally increasing these days..

What was the standard reply that you got upon your email to the VO?
Its been around 7 months since medicals were done but still no PPR step 1 for me

Correct, everything related to security check are done only after medical. Security check takes time, effort and many international correspondences so they only carry on security check after they are sure your medical is clarified.

What else do you think, like driving offences (all or just major ones), bank related offences( non-repayment of loans etc??) or other financial crimes (cheating, theft etc) just as a guideline for the members who might be interested. many thanks again

Security check is just related to security of Canada,
They will check weather you will be any danger to Ca, your links with any terrorist origination etc.

Regarding any crimes like cheating / theft / driving offences etc - that would already come up in your PCC if you had any . Those don't cover in security checks.

Hi aquib and hondubai, thanks for your message. But you have any idea how they check if someone could be a danger to Canada...i mean why it should take so long to see if soemone has any connection with terrorist groups etc.
