hi, I am an international student and my husband got his open work permit. We are waiting for the pgwp application result, are both of us on implied status? If I will extend my study permit by applying to another school, what will be his application, can he apply for a visitor visa or application to extend his open work permit? Hope someone can help me. Thank you.

Applying to extend your status doesn't grant him Implied Status in any way. He needs to apply to extend his status as well. Unless you are already working in a NOC A, B or 0 job, he doesn't qualify for an OWP and must apply to change his status to visitor.
Again, submitting an applicaiton for yourself does not grant him any status. If you already have a skilled job, you should have included his OWP app with your PGWP app.
Is his work permit still valid?
Canuck, what if my study permit expires and I haven’t get the result for my pgwp application And his extension of open work permit. Can I apply for student visa and for him is a visitor visa right now since our status has not expire yet or we can apply it on our restoration? Hope to hear from you.
