hi everybody, my name is nicole and i am being sponsored by my husband who lives in canada.. we have already been approved in CIC in missisauga ontario, and since my husband is residing in Quebec we have also been approved in Quebec. last month i recieved a letter from the embassy of canada here in the philippines asking for additional documents and my passport. i went to the visa office (dropbox) to submit the documents that they needed together with my passport. last sept 2, 2009. and i believe that i have already provided all the documents and i don't think that they will be requesting for additional documents.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THEM TO REPLY???

THEY ASKED FOR MY PASSPORT.. IS THAT A SIGN THAT I WILL APPROVED OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE???

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE EMBASSY TO DENY A SPOUSE???

PLEASE HELP ME I AM GOING CRAZY.. PLEASE I JUST WANT TO BE WITH MY HUSBAND! WE JUST WANT SO MUCH TO BE TOGETHER

I WILL APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE THANKS AND GOD BLESS!:D

Hi,

I don't think your case will be rejected straightaway. As the visa office has asked for additional documents with passports, they are processing your application. However it is better to review the postings under the subject "Manila processing"" in this Forum, where you can see several discussions of this kind. You will get an idea about the time line of Manila office from there.

Hey, it depends on the additional document they asked about as well as why they need the passport, was it a Passport request letter or they need the passport for additional background check. Do you know where they are in the processing?

hi rorita,

they said that for them to be able to continue the processing of my application they need the have my japanese police clearance (since i went to japan and stayed there for 11 months but not to work it's a family thing) they asked for my certificate of no marriage, and passport. that's all they asked and i sent it to them as soon as got the documents. what do you think???? please reply.
