Waiting for AOR

Guys
We will be grateful if you could shed some light.
We had to reapply for my Spousal Sponsorship due to missing information and waiting for AOR. We submitted the Spousal Sponsorship on Sept 1st 2024.
My work permet expires on Oct 2nd and wondering if applying for a TRV would be still relevant or should I just leave the country and wait for the process to be complete and then come back.
Any guidance will be appreciated.

If you don’t want to leave then extend your stay as a visitor (visitor record) now.

Do you mean visitor record? If you apply now then you will be on maintained status until a decision is made.

She is on Closed Work permit expiring Oct 2.Applied the visitor visa.Lets see.

We applied for a work permit with the option below.I think its a TRV.I hope it is the right option as we both are already in Canada.

  I am the spouse, common law partner or dependent of an H-1B visa holder

We received the AOR and waiting for biometrics and Visitor Record was applied earlier.
Do you think it will make sense to apply for a OWP?
