Waiting after a medical examination

It is now a little over 3 months that my medical examination result was sent in to immigration. Though, my wife was told that my application has been sent to Trinidad and Tobago for final processing.
How long more would this waiting be before getting the approval letter?
Is it necessary that I write the Canadian high commissioner in Trinidad about this?

Average processing times is 12 months. Could be a little less or a little more. No one can say definitively when your app will be approved. They may require more information or an interview before making a decision. At this point because you are well within your processing times writing them would be a waste of your time.
