You should, however, look up what the average salary in the province is for your NOC. As hondaFan13 said, unreasonable wage will cause suspicion because it means that the company is hiring you at low wages so that they don't have to hire a Canadian and pay them the proper wage.

In my experience, as long as the wage is not minimum ($10.25 or something) you're good to go! Bare in mind that I was a recent graduate so there was no way for me to get paid average or median! I was paid minimum in my NOC code ($13.25 at the time) and it went through. The median wage was $23. The VOs are not there to reject you, as long as you make sense you will be fine! They know you are intermediate when you are a recent graduate. On top it, I had brilliant reference letters.
