Hi,

The entry level wage for NOC 2172 (Database analyst and data administrators) is 18.50 for my region on workincanada.gc.ca. But my wage rate according to my salary is 16.40 is that too low for this category to apply under CEC or OPNP?

Thanks

You should be fine. There is no minimum wage for CEC. As long as your salary is reasonable for your NOC , you should be fine.

You may want to ask that on the PNP board :)

Foreign workers already working in the position that Opportunities Ontario: Provincial Nominee Program approved need to be paid a wage that is equal to or greater than the wage approved for that position. So if the wage for the position was approved at $25/hour, the temporary worker in that position will need to be paid $25/hour or more before the program nominates them.

byrwus,

please note that the rules for paying temporary foreign workers up to 15% less of their wage have changed and now they are asking employers to pay the exact same wage they pay a canadian citizen or permannet resident for that position in that region in order to get an approved LMO.
this happened after the BMO outsourcing jobs scandal.
