Hi

In 2008 I spent a year in Australia and for four months I lived in WA. On the CIC website, it states that if you lived in Victoria, Queensland or Western Australia you must submit a traffic history check. However, I did not drive there nor do I have an Australian license.

On the WA website, it states you must be there in person to obtain a traffic history check. Do you think because I am a UK resident and was there on a temporary visa, I do not have to submit one?

Also, I was trying to find out on the website and under working holiday visa it says in lieu of having to be there in person to obtain a traffic history form in WA a FPC will suffice. Do you think the same applies for family class?

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about WA, but I needed to get a QLD traffic history and I am a UK resident as well.

I just called the number on the website and spoke to them and they emailed me a form to be filled in, it cost something like AUS$18.30 for it. Although I did have to send in certified copies of three pieces of ID, and as I didn't have any Australian ID, they just accepted the UK equivalent i.e. Passport, Drivers Licence & Utility Bill.

It would probably be best to get it, as you will have your Police Certificate from Australia as well. It took under half the time for the Traffic History as it did for the Police Certificate.
