Anyone in here have applied for an open work permit under vulnerable worker situation?

I have my medical exam done last October for my permanent residency but my employer who has my work permit suddenly terminated my employment with them without further notice last November. I just found out about the vulnerable worker open work permit. Please reply to this thread or send me a message.

Can you prove abuse by your previous employer? Or did they just fire you without notice?

To qualify for the vultenerable work permit, you need to provide evidence of abuse by your former employer.

What have you been doing for the past 5 months? Was your PR application dependent on the job? Just looked at your previous post and it seems like you have a complex work history.

To qualify for the vultenerable work permit, you need to provide evidence of abuse by your former employer.

They fired me without notice and they are totally aware that I wont be able to start a new job anytime soon. I have to figure out how to prove the mental abuse.

I have found a new employer and waiting for my new closed work permit. And no, its not dependent on the employer.

Firing you without notice is not abuse. Don't try to play the system.

You have to prove one of the following:

1. physical abuse, including assault and forcible confinement
2. sexual abuse, including sexual contact without consent
3. psychological abuse, including threats and intimidation
4. financial abuse, including fraud and extortion

Im not trying to play the system. It was mentally draining for me when I got fired. The anxiety, depression and the stress that it caused me was difficult to handle.

That still doesn’t qualify you for a vulnerable worker OWP. That, unfortunately is business.

Your mental state upon being fired is your own responsibility, not the company's. That's still not abuse.
