Hi all,
my Vo Vienna has not replied to any of my emails (sent through CIC website) yet, it has been 2 months since I have sent them. I have informed them that we have a new adress, no changes on ecas yet and have asked if medicals should be renewed since they expired. I have emailed them numerous times since I have not received an answer yet, ecas is still showing old adress. THe application has been in process since February. I don't know what else to do? Should I fax them? Is it normal that you do not receive an answer? Should I inform CIC about the adress change?

It is normal for VO's to not respond to emails, especially if you are still within the normal processing period which you may or may not be. Maybe somebody with experience with Vienna can provide their experience. You should order CAIPS notes. They may not tell you much but at least you can see that your application has been received and the notes on your file.

Have you tried changing the address directly in the ecase? I think theres an option when you are logged in!

You can't change your address thru E-CAS if you are doing an out-land application, unfortunately, the only way to do it is to e-mail your VO it also says on the website (least my VO) that they do not reply to e-mails unless they fall under a certain category... RPRF Payments with drawing your application etc... I had to change my mailing address and still have heard nothing and no change to E-CAS...

Yea, my husband mentioned it to me... so we tried and got the page saying we could only e-mail, kinda silly, giving us the option to change our own address would make their life alittle easier for them ya know? plus we would and they would for that matter always have the correct address.

When we changed our address we did it through a case specific email and by changing it on-line. I remember a statement on the website about only using the on-line change of address for inland applications but ignored it.

ya for outland theres no possibility but to email i guess, it would for sure be easier if you could update it on ecase or online in any way. Its even more important for the applicant than the sponsor, cause the applicant in the end gets the requests and the visa/copr....there should be an easier way to update your address fast, as you say it would be an advantage for both...us and the immigration.

And that worked out even though it was an outland application? They changed it that way fast? Im asking cause i might need to change it too if the visa isnt coming in time.

Thanks Harju, I didn't know that it is quite normal not to get a response if you are in the normal processing time.

Yes very normal to have no correspondence whatsoever if you are the applicant. CIC has had my file since May and London VO since July and I have had nothing whatsoever. Not even 100% sure London has my file and more to the point how am I supposed to know? Is it the fact E-Cas says medicals received. That is my only inkling because that changed in mid July, otherwise it is not beyond the realms of possibility that my file never made it to London VO. :p

As soon as your sponsor was approved your E-Cas should have changed to Medicals received, since your medicals are sitting there before the sponsorship application goes thru as soon as they approve they are supposed to match up the medical and ship the applicant's application to the VO least this is how it was explained to me... but seriously how do we know what the do for any reason LOL

Well, I can think of two possible ways of knowing where the file is:
1. AOR from the VISA office (or some sort of a correspondence from them)
2. Ordering the GCMS notes. You can see when the file was transfered, and when it arrived in the VO, etc.

You can also see a record all of the communications between the applicant/sponsor and the VO. As well as the addresses, phone numbers, and emails.
