vistors visa return ticket

Hi everyone ive got a question to ask.

After all the great advise ive got off here im going to book a return ticket so i can be in canada for bout 5months with my hubby,
but what i wont to no is when i go to appy for an extention on my vistors visa (which will br my airline ticket) to stay longer
do i have to ring the airline and tell them i wont be flying home on that date and extend the airlind ticket???
Unsure how this works can some one help me with this

Hi,

In brief,for return travel reservation, which you think you will extend later, should be discussed with your travel agent or airlines. Some classes on the economy ( according to the fare tables )the return date cannot get changed/extended on the same rate on what you purchased for. Once you make a change, for date of return flight, the air lines will ask for an additional payment. In order to avoid such problem later, you should talk to the airlines/travel agent about your future plan while booking. They will issue ticket with the appropriate fare table. In that case you can change the date of travel by calling the airline office, without causing any trouble..
