She should just apply for a normal TRV. Has she done biometrics before?

I had submitted Online application for visitor visa for parents last year but due to Biometric centers close in India, application couldn't move forward much. I approached PHAC route after that with existing application and managed to get Single entry TRV for parents but if your case is not something requires urgency then better apply for visitor visa first, get biometric done in near by places and get things going, if you need your mother during pregnancy time, you can always opt for PHAC route which may speed up your application but its better to have other steps completed before that.

PHAC route is not for a normal pregnancy where a person has at least one support person (a spouse). PHAC is for emergency time sensitive situations.

People in India have been going to Dubai or Nepal to do their biometrics. A TRV is never guaranteed. It all depends on ties to home country, savings, previous travel history, etc. The fact that you are pregnant has very little effect on the application.

Ok got you. Thanks for the info.I need my mom to come here somehow. We are really in a confused State.Whether her Visa will be approved or if not do we have to go to India. We are not able to decide anything with the current situation.

There is no guarantee in the processing time of TRV. And since you are expecting, you need to make sure that after she got her TRV, if she arrives, she will be quaratined away from you for the 14 days.

It's best to get yourself ready and prepared without physical support from her. You can still call her or arrange video calls.
I highly suggest you not to plan to travel to India (or anywhere) during pregnancy.

Hi, I am a permanent resident and currently pregnant. I want my mother to be here during my delivery. Does that fall under the compassionate ground? If yes, which form no. Am I supposed to fill? Any information is appreciated.

It falls in this weird grey zone. Essentially you can apply for PHAC but your mother still needs to do her biometrics and any other requirements. Where does she live? Had she done biometrics yet? Will she be fully vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna or Astra Zeneca?

Hi, thank you for your reply. She is in Delhi and her biometrics are already done. She applied for a visa before I moved to Canada and it was rejected. She already got her first dose if AstraZeneca last month and will get the second one this month. I’ confused about the form no. That I need to fill.

Hello, even with PHAC we need the Biometrics to be provided? Could you please provide those steps if we apply under PHAC category. My parents are both vaccinated and I was planning to add that document along with other documents required for PHAC.
