hi all,
I am PR of Canada since 3 yrs . I sponsored my wife , she is here since 2 months.

My friend , from New Zealand , wish to apply for visitors visa of Canada. For that he need my info like passport number , job details etc.

Can you please let me know , how safe is to reveal all such info ?
Also, I wish to call my parents from India in next 6 months. What should I keep in mind and aware of if I give my info for my New Zealand friend ?

Thanks and regards .

Your friend does not need any of your info to be approved for a TRV, if you feel uncomfortable giving it to him.

Besides, even if he submits your passport and job info, it most likely will not be considered for his application.

In the end, whether he has your info or not, he must qualify on his own merits.

At the most minimum, you can provide an invitation letter with these details: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/letter-invitation.html
An invitation letter does not legally bind you to anything.

If you wish to invite your parents later, your invitation will definitely be considered for them as you are actually blood relatives.

What is your reason to visit? Have you travelled to any other visa requiring countries before? Are you currently working? Are you married and do you have family? What are some major reasons as to why you would return to your country after coming to Canada?
