I have got a couple of queries about visitor's visa applications.
Background-
The application for a family member was submitted last year from India with travel dates in June 2021 and purpose- Tourism. Due to the closure of Biometrics centers in India, the next steps could not be pursued. By the time those opened this year, the travel period was already passed. The refund request falls under IRCC's Priority Enquiries still haven't heard back from them even after contacting through webform thrice.
Question 1-
While filling the webform (https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp) there's an option to choose 'Embassy' if the application is processed outside Canada. Not sure which one to choose here as there are 3 in India. Is there any way to identify that so that the request can be routed to an appropriate embassy?
Question 2-
Tried reaching on IRCC contact number but never ever was able to connect with an agent. The call got disconnected from their side in no time citing enormous call volumes. Could anyone advise a better way to connect with an agent?
Question 3-
Can we request IRCC to modify travel dates on the basis of an existing application and request them to issue a fresh biometric request?
Would be really helpful if I get some more insights to resolve it.
