Visitor's extension from within Canada (Visitor's Record Application)

Hi

I am right now inside Canada on a visitor's visa and the 6 months stay period will finish soon in 1 month. I am applying for visitor extension (Visitor's record). Now, I need to show funds to support my ''Visitor extension application''. My spouse is Canadian permanent resident, and we both have a joint bank account here in Canada. This joint account is one month old.

1. Now the question is that ''Can I use this joint bank account statement (1 month old) for my proof of means of financial support for my visitor extension application''?

2. Will the presence of my spouse's name on bank statement or bank certificates will make it unsuitable for my visitor extension application?

3. Will only 1 month old joint account work? usually they ask for 6 months statement.

I showed the letter of employment from my employer and most recent payroll but not the bank statements.
