Visitor's child birth

Dear All, I need some informations on behalf of my friend as per his request.

My friend's wife is planning visit to Canada. If she give birth there, what will be the status of her new born baby ?
Will the new born get nationality bcos of his birth in Canada or any other status........please mention.

Her baby will be a Canadian citizen.

Note that your friend will be responsible for paying for all of the costs associated with the birth (which will be quite expensive).

Also note that while the baby will be a Canadian citizen, this will not give your friend any status in Canada or allow her to live / stay in Canada.

I think her friend only needs baby to be Canadian so that after 18 he can come here for job, education and better future. Its basically anchor baby. 10k for delivery is pretty small cost compared to what the baby will be getting at 18 so its a pretty good investment strategy
