Dear Sir/ Madam,

Good Morning!! Hope all is well with you all.

A Quick Question....

Both myself and my spouse are indian citizens holding a valid Canadian PR CARD. Our daughter is an US Citizen holding a US Passport, but don't have a canadian PR. We would like to get migrated to Canada in the next 2-3 months. We all would like to go there and start the PR sponsorship application (for my daughter) from there. May I know the type of visa that I would need to get for my Daughter (1 Year old) to take her over there on my move ? I believe, when applied (on sponsorship category) from canada (while my daughter in inside canada), it would approximately take 1 year to get her PR. So, what would be the visa i need to have her on till that time, so as to have no legal issues.

I assume that, using Visitor visa she can be inside canada only for max of 4 months. Please, kindly advice. Thank You.

Warm Regards, Geo

As a US citizen she is visa-exempt and may be admitted to Canada for up to 6 months at a time.

Thank You CharlieD10.

But, do I need to take any visa for her .......if I need my daughter to be with me continuously for 1 year (till her PR gets processed) without leaving the country ? Please advice.

Regards, Geo

She does not need a visa.
She can visit for six months, then she can apply for an extension of her stay (or leave Canada for a short while and re-enter Canada).
