Hello
We, me and my spouse, are currently residing in the US. We would like to apply for a visitor visa to Canada to visit my family there (1st cousin).
Inspite of the travel ban for non-essential travels, can we apply for the visa in advance for future travel? Does applying now for non-essential travel visa have a greater chance of rejection?
We both have valid biometrics and medical tests done as part of our ongoing PR application.
Any help or suggestion would be highly appreciated.

You can apply now but can’t travel until restrictions are lifted. No greater chances of rejection. You need to show strong ties to home country to be successful.
