Folks ,
Seeking some advice -
I got married in August month and my wife is in India , I’ve applied for her spousal visa ( PR ) in September 2020 and didn’t heard anything ( assuming due to pandemic it will take more time )

1. would it’s good idea to apply for visitor visa as it’s quicker than spousal ?

2. will there be any chance of getting rejection ?
if yes , then will it impact spousal visa file?

you input will be appreciated !

thand you :)

She needs to meet the same requirements as anyone else, i.e. show her visit is temporary and she won't be staying with you permanently even with the pending PR application.

Perfect !!
last question : normally how long it’ll take to process visitor visa file ?
Has she done her biometrics before? If no she won't be able to get a TRV. AOR for spousal sponsorship was around 3 months before covid and is now 6+ months. Spouses tend to have a very hard time getting approved for a TRV because they are rarely temporary visitors and plan on remaining in Canada. She will have to show strong ties to India like a good longterm job, savings, property if possible and previous international travel. Would apply for a TRV because it won't impact your sponsorship. Others have resorted to flying to another country to complete their biometrics because without biometrics applications won't be approved.

My husband is in Canada, and me and my son in India. Biometric already done as we already visited once for 6 months. I applied a week back. Its shows 250 days of processing time. Has any one got recently TRV from India?
