hi,
@Bryanna
Greetings!!!

I just want to ask for your opinion. I'm applying for the visitor visa to Canada, as my husband is inviting me to his convocation. my husband has a student visa and he is living in Canada for the past 6 years for his studies. these are the documents I'm attaching to my application,

1. passport
2. our marriage certificate
3. my bank statement (past 12 months)- $1700 CAD
4. letter from my company (No Objection letter- stating my complete profile and dates of travel)
5. police clearance certificate
6. invitation letter from husband
7. cover letter
8. letter from my husband's from the institution that I am indeed convocating this summer.

Is there anything else I should attach to my application?

  • I never had a prior travel history as I did not have the luxury of money for a trip to abroad for leisure or anything.
  • I have got married 8 months ago and I got my new identity card 2 months ago, after that i have tried to change my old name into new name on all of my documents, however, my company said it will take 6 months process to update my new name(surname of my husband) in their system so they have given me an employment letter on my old name (surname of my father). what should i do to solve this issue or how should I explain this problem to visa officer? or this would raise a red flag?

I hope you can help me what is the next step I should do.

Thanks
