Hello all,

My name is Ciro and I've now been living in Canada for 4 months. I haven't applied for PR through Family Class yet but I will soon. I'm allowed to stay in Canada until November 11th 2017 but I will only get my work permit applying through Family Class in December or January which means I would have to extend my stay once my status as a visitor expires in November. Am I allowed to stay here even without my visitor status while waiting for them to process my working permit through Family Class or should I stay my stay as a visitor?

You need to apply to extend your stay. Applying for a PR doesn't afford you any special treatment. Until you receive your OWP, you must maintain your status. Once you apply for the extension, you have implied status until you receive a response or your OWP.
