Hey guys,
I know some other people already has this topic.. but maybe i have different cases.

CIC got our package on 8 august 2012. so.. still 1 month to wait. my situation is:
- My father in law (in Quebec) is now 58, and going to get his 2nd wedding. He would like to invite me on 15th December.
- my grandfather in law (on wheelchair, diagnosed cancer 6 years ago). we talked on phone sometimes. hes supper awesome and i made promise to see him. We can always get paper from Hospital that hes in weak condition and might pass away soon. (i really dont want anything wrong with him)

So.. my question is:
- Should I apply, with a reason that my father in law is getting married or; should i use the reason of my grandfather in law?
- which one is more likable that i will get the visa?

Im thinking to book ticket on 7-December, but nothing can be sure.

Please gimme advice!

Mother nature bless us (be strong and be patient)

sorry to say that but its really unusual to get visitor visa after sending spousal application.
but you should try with all supporting docs, they would like to see your ties with home country such as leave from job (if working), properties, car and rental agreement, bank accounts to to prove that you will return after visiting Canada.
give them both reasons for travelling to make your case stronger ;)
best of luck :)

Yes, it is hard to get a TRV with a spouse in Canada, but some people have managed to do so.
1. Explain both reasons, with proof.
2. Show your ties to your own country: return ticket with a specific date, proof of job and residence, proof of bank accounts and other investments, etc.
3. Show proof you have applied for your PR. State you do not want to jeopardize your PR by overstaying, and will certainly return home to wait for the interview (if one is required) and the PR visa.
