My daughter was granted PR status and landed in January 2013. She however went back to her home country in June 2013. She wants to come and visit now. Does she need to declare her PR status void before applying for a visitor’s visa? If so, what is the process to be followed?

Why would she want to do that?

Your daughter can come in as a PR because she already spend 6 months in Canada, so she is well within her time of 2 years that she can spend outside of Canada. She is still a PR and will remain one until she clearly violates her stay period outside of Canada which she is not violating now.
