Visitor visa to attend musical concert - need urgent help please.

Hello everyone, my name's Youssef and I'm an Egyptian citizen. My best friend is an Egyptian living in Canada with permanent residency and she has invited me to come visit but I was afraid of getting rejected until I found out my favorite band Nine Inch Nails will be playing in Air Canada Centre as part of their new tour to support the new album.

Pre sale tickets for the concert went on sale yesterday and I already bought two. Now I need to apply for a visa so I can go visit my friend and attend the concert.

I have a steady job at an international telecommunication company, I've been working there for over three years.
I'm the sole provider of my family, made of my dad, mom and young brother. My mom's got a heart condition and I need to return home for her, plus I pay for all the expenses.
I also need to go back to my job since I have a promising career and I can't exceed a maximum of 14 days leave.
My bank statement has about 14,000$ which is good enough I guess, since I'll only stay for 14 days and my friend will provide accommodation.
I wrote a cover letter stating I intend to go visit my friend and attend the concert with her and I will provide a copy of the concert tickets and payment receipt made under my name.

I need the kind help of the forums to tell me if any more documents needed, if I should state I'm visiting for tourism or check next to "others" and state I'm visiting a friend and attending the concert.

Appreciate your kind help and advice. Thanks in advance.

This is a forum where people provide information for free - so sometimes you have to wait a while before you get an answer to your question.

If you want or need an immediate reply - then I would recommend that you hire an immigration lawyer or consultant to help you.

I'm sorry, I'm still new here and just looking for help. Sorry anyway.

Hi all, I don't mean to bother anyone but people are quite helpful here and I would really appreciate any piece of advice. Thanks.
