Hi everyone.
I'm trying to fill out a group application for a temporary resident visa through the IRCC portal due to an upcoming family trip where we want to see the possibility of entering Canada via ground travel. We're all Mexican nationals.
I've reached the part of the application where it asks Do you currently hold a valid U.S. nonimmigrant visa? (required). We all have B1/B2 Visa/Border Crossing Cards (also known as laser visa); so I answer Yes.
The form then asks me for my Nonimmigrant visa number. According to all the information I can find online, the visa number is on the back of the card, as seen here (BCC number):
The issue is, the BCC number is composed of 12 characters (3 letters and 9 digits); however, the IRCC form input tells me the visa number must be 10 characters or less, including spaces. I'm unsure on how to proceed here. Should I input the numerical part of the BCC number only? Could that bring up issues that might affect the approval of our TRVs?
I'd appreciate any insight you can provide.
