Hello everyone, I am in a bit of a situation, Me and My girlfriend are in a relationship for almost 9 years. She is PR in Canada. I am thinking of applying Visitor Visa which my girlfriend will sponsor but the thing is I cant prove strong family ties here. I am living here with my mom and dad in rented place. I am self employed too working as graphic designer from home as well. Even for bank to show funds in my account, I have to borrow it from my friend. we are in a committed relationship and we cant get married here due to family differences. We were both planning right now to visit in canada and get married there so that I can apply for sponsorship but that's not possible as Visitor visa is not for that purpose. We have no other option, We cant get married in India. If you guys can give me some kind of advice. That will be helpful, Thanks

There is not such thing as TRV sponsorship. You show your own ties to return so that is family and economic. If self employed you show business registration, client list and proof from client letters that your work an only be competed from home country. So if self employed prove you cannot work remotely. Your ties are not strong.

If you have dumped money in your account, you must have a paper trail of where that money came from.

Why not marry in another country Because chances for TRV are low.

You literally have all the red flags for a refusal.

Plus if you’ve been in a LDR for nine years , as mentioned, meet in another country to get married . Doesn’t make sense that you’re stating you have to get married in Canada

Use that money you mentioned you can get to meet them in a third county ….and get married there

Then they can start the sponsorship from here
If the relationship has gone on already nine years , another year waiting to get sponsorship isn’t long

People always go on about family differences . Man up and do what you want
It’s not like you’re going to be inviting them to the wedding anyways
