visitor visa, single entry,validity to stay in canada

Hi,
My mother has single entry visa valid from Jan 3rd to July 3rd. (6 month )

She is travelling to Toronto on March 1st. She want to be here with us upto Aug 10th. (March 1st to Aug 10th is less than 6 month).

Is that OK if she travel with return ticket of Aug 10th (which is letter than her visa expiry but with in 6 month of her entrance in canada.)

I don't think it is possible. You should travel only on the time frame. May be you can request - after entering into Canada.

But i heart that visa is for entering in Canada. Validity of stay is decided by post officer ?

She can stay for six months after entering canada!so there shouldn't be a problem!!

I was afraid just because she has SINGLE Entry visa. She will travel alone.

if she enters Canada on March 1st and CBSA officer only stamp the day she enters, is valid for until Aug 30.2014.
