Hello everyone, and happy 2012!!
My wife is Colombian and I am Canadian. We live in Colombia. In July we submitted an application for PR for my wife, as we plan to move to Canada, and I was approved to be her sponsor in September.
My wife has had two Canadian visitor visas, one for 6 months and the current on for 3 years. My wife has never overstayed her visa or committed and other violations to the visitor visa rules.
Her visitor visa will expire in September 2012 and the CIC website says 17 months for a PR to be issued in Bogota.
1) is it possible to apply for another visitor visa while her PR application is being processed ??
2) if the answer to 1) above is yes, will a visitor visa application delay her PR application??
3) can she apply in Canada for her current visitor visa to be extended (an extension) and would this affect her PR application in any way??
Thank you very much, dbear
