Visitor Visa Renewal - Recent Rejections

Hi Folks, I have a quick visitor visa query

My parents have Canadian visitor visa which is set to expire in May this year. I'm looking to apply for their renewal but I'm told that there are lot of rejections happening right now (especially for applications from India) and it is better to wait

My plan is to have my parents visit me for a month in the summer (July-Aug) time frame. Has someone been in this situation and can share their experience/advice.

PS - my parents have a valid US visa and have been to US twice in the past and once to Canada in 2023.

There is no such thing as renewal. It is a new application. Given they have a valid US visa and if they abided by Canadian immigration laws during there stay then have a good chance.

Thanks for your response. Yes it will be a new application, guess the bio metrics will move over from last application
