Hi,
My wife applied for visitor visa through the new portal and got rejected today.
Applied on dec 28 2021
Bio metrics jan 4
Rejected Jan 19.

Reason is mentioned:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

She applied stating to visit and celebrate my birthday together after many years.

We provided her pay slips, job ties in india and planned dates of travel.

Any suggestions to reapply?
Thanks

What's your status in Canada?

Hi Kumar, I also got refusal todays. My 2 brother's and my sister in law applied for a visitor's visa back in November and got all 3 refused today due to the same reasons you got. They all applied on their own. We will attempt to do the application again adding more supporting documents and just hope for the best. I have not seen my family in 3 years so getting this application refused was a bummer.

Reuniting with family is not simply for every family member and every circumstance. There has to be a good reason to spend thousands of dollars in a pandemic to visit a family member. The visa officer was not convinced.

I had applied for my partner to have a visitor's visa (long distance relationship) and it was refused by Canada.

I gotta say I fnd it very disheartening that we as Canadians have to go through this impossible process just to have a chance at being together with our partners/family.

My partner can travel to EU no problem (visa free) but to come to Canada he does not qualify ?? It's disturbing to me.

What were the reasons for refusal? How much time have you spent together? Having a partner in Canada doesn't guarantee approval.

Yes I understand it doesn't guarantee, I have to travel to every other country in the world but my own to be able to spend tme with my partner..... it's not normal to have to do that

At the time we applied we had a little over a year together. He was refused for financial reasons and famly ties. He is working part time and goes to school so yea he's not making a Doctor's salary but in some countries they are paid little even with regular full time jobs so it's a catch 22.

We have been 4 years together now and are planning to get married since but still it is very hard to have someone who you are emotionally involved with not be able to come visit you.

I have already reached out to my MP and I will continue to go further because it's absolutely insane what they expect of someone who just wants to visit on his time off of school/work. The process we had to go through just to get refused!

Sorry for your situation. Honestly, your easiest pathway (not fastest) since you are planning to get married, is to get married in another country. Then you apply for sponsorship.

What country? Looks like there are some other reasons for refusal like her/his mother having claimed asylum inCanada in the past. It also looks like you are planning on getting married which is also likely why you are being refused. CBSA is concerned that your partner will remain in Canada and you are planning on getting married here. It is much easier to evaluate a relationship for authenticity when a person has not made it to Canada yet. Once in Canada it is very difficult and expensive to deport someone.
