visitor visa refused twice..applied 3rd time now

Hey all

Need input or advice on this one
Applied online for trv for my mother in law from cuba
Got denied 2 times in september both within 4 days of rsponse
Now i applied third time snd its almost been one month and no response or updates...is this a good sign??
I provided all the docs they required so now we r waiting
Is this good??
Rejections were ties to country and travel history
Well cuba ia dificult so she has no travel history and as for for proof she will return i provided her property of her home under her name... And we provided our salary and bank statements as means of supporting her.

You should show more proof of family ties, not just property and assets. They're looking to see that she has family in Cuba and little to none in Canada.

Not much else to own in cuba

She has her daughter there as well and one son here who just got new grandaughter

Then she should show their birth certificates and a house hold registry, or something to show they live in Cuba.

Then I think you've done the best you could with regards to family and property ties.

On top of that, you and your wife should handwrite a letter to CIC explaining that your wife won't overstay, will return to Canada, and what the purpose is of the trip and why its important.

We explained everything in the invitation letter as well as sent the bc of our daughter to prove that we want her to meet her grandmother.
But dobu think they would have refued by now since the first 2 times were res

Have you ordered the GCMS notes to see why they refused? You can then address these points more directly.

That refusal letter is generic, the notes will be much more detailed.

No. Depends in which phase it is rejected and on which queue it is.

Obvious mistakes are rejected in the first week, but further reasons that require longer processes take longer to get rejected.

I want to ask for more information about time Processing in CVAC in Paris. I, my wife and my son were in Paris CVAC on 06 OCT. We are iranian but I and my son own Swiss Travel Document (blue) and my wife has iraninan Passport. We all have permanent residency of Switzerlnad. As my wife owns iranian passport we should go there for biometric. They checked the Documents personly and told us that we should leave our Passports there in VAC Paris. Here is my Documents that I gave them:
1- All Forms
2- Invitation letter from my brother who is a canadian citizen with Notice of assessment of CAN$ 76000 and copy of his canadian Passport.
3- Copy of last three pay slips. Every month i earn 5000 Swiss Francs
4- Photocopy and original of our residency permit. but they told us that they do not need it.
5- Monthly bank statement showing the recent balance.

My two brothers are canadian citizen and my mother has Permanent residency of canada. Because all of us have permanent residency of Switzerland so we can travel freely in Schengen Zone so there is no Visa or Stamps in our Passports.
Until now we have nothing heard from them and in online tracking we just receive:
Visa application, tracking ID No.20141006FRACTRV***** is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, PARIS.

What will happen for us an how much time it takes?

Why would it tske longer?
Could u give an example

For example if your paperwork is incomplete that would lead to an immediate refusal. If a security check has to be done then that will take more time as that phase comes after paperwork pass the "completeness" check.
