Hi Everyone,
I'm from India, and working with IT company, I would like to Visit Canada with my family.
3 weeks back i'd applied for TRV through paper application and it Got refused stating following Reasons

1. Travel history
2. Length of proposed stay in Canada
3. Purpose of visit
4. Personal assets and financial status
5. I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated
purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.

recently I got visitor Visa for UK and planning to visit Canada via London.

Thanks for your valuable help in Advance.

What was the length of your proposed stay in Canada? How much did you show in funds available for your trip? What evidence did you provide to show you have strong ties to your home country?

I don't know how much 9.5 lac is. What is that in Canadian dollars?

It looks to me like you didn't really provide any evidence of ties to your home country. Did you show any proof of employment? Did you include a letter from your employer confirming your vacation period and your date of return? Pay stubs from your job?

Hi,

Did your family members also get TRV refusals?

Was any of the money in your bank account borrowed? Or large amounts transferred between accounts without an explanation?

Do you have financial investments? Bank term deposits, shares, pension funds, etc?

Would the amount in your bank account cover the airfare + hotel + travel/meals, etc for yourself and your family.... for the UK and Canada visits?

What did you mention as your purpose of visit? And have you traveled to other countries before this?

Do you own property or have leased accommodation? Other family that is not accompanying you? Any reasons why you must return by a certain date?

Cheers

Hi,

You do have a good chance of getting TRVs. However, based on what you've written, it seems like you have not included key documents + you have not presented your ties to India well.

I am assuming you are married.... and your immediate family (your wife and kids) will travel with you.
Did you include any financial documents of your wife?
Is your wife working? If yes, did you include her employment and leave approval documents?
Do your children go to school or college?

For properties:
Do you own these properties (sole ownership) or jointly with other family members?
Is your extended family dependent on you (for example: you pay for some of their expenses)?

Do you intend to visit the UK first or after your Canada visit?
Did you submit provisional flight and hotel bookings?

Cheers

Hello Bryanna,

Thanks for your prompt response,

I am assuming you are married.... and your immediate family (your wife and kids) will travel with you.
Yes, I am married and planning to travel with family (my wife and 3yr old kid)

Did you include any financial documents of your wife?
Yes, I have included Tax returns of last 2 years of my wife.

Is your wife working? If yes, did you include her employment and leave approval documents?
No, she is not working but She is beautician and running beauty parlour at our own place and having 2-part time employees.

Do your children go to school or college?
No, He is 3-year-old. Not going any level of School yet.

For properties:
Do you own these properties (sole ownership) or jointly with other family members?
For Properties, one Agriculture Land under my name and Houes, other land and shop joint with my elder Brother name. (All document has been translated into English and Notaries)

Is your extended family dependent on you (for example: you pay for some of their expenses)?
Not really, As we are in joint family, for expenses; I am paying some of the expenses but is not fixed to pay specific expense

Do you intend to visit the UK first or after your Canada visit?
I have checked the Air Tickets from my home town and planned accordingly.
My home town to UK (@ UK - 6 nights and 7 days)
UK to Canada (@ Canada - 4 nights and 5 days)
Canada to My home town

Did you submit provisional flight and hotel bookings?
No, I have not booked flight for whole trip yet. But I have submitted hotel booking confirmation of UK and Canada.

What kinds of Documents would be help to show ties to India (home town)?
Is there any specific term need to show them? Let me know if you have any check list of document would help for TRV? Or I missed any document to show them for ties to home town.

Hi,

Yes, I have included Tax returns of last 2 years of my wife.
You can also include her bank statements (sole or joint accounts with yourself) + financial investments (sole or jointly owned with yourself).... even though your bank balance is adequate to support the visit.

For FDs, you can include a FD interest certificate + letter from the bank stating the FDs are not mortgaged/no loans taken against them.... and can be liquidated, if required.

You can include proofs of foreign currency purchased by you from a RBI licensed Forex dealer (not the regular Forex dealers) if you have an invoice for this purchase.

Also, 2-3 months credit card statements (if the dues are low).... and state you will carry these cards with you.

Do state all amounts in both INR/CAD throughout your applications.

No, she is not working but She is beautician and running beauty parlour at our own place and having 2-part time employees.
Do include any evidence for operating this.... salon rent receipts + business registration documents + taxes paid + payments made to the employees (cheque payments preferably)

For Properties, one Agriculture Land under my name and Houes, other land and shop joint with my elder Brother name. (All document has been translated into English and Notaries)
Evidence of income earned from the agriculture land/other land (if applicable) + latest property tax receipts for the house/shop + market rates for these properties + any income earned from the shop (even if it is joint ownership)

My home town to UK ( @ UK - 6 nights and 7 days)
UK to Canada ( @ Canada - 4 nights and 5 days)
Canada to My home town
Do include copies of the UK visa.... brief details of your intended visit to the UK.... and most importantly, if possible, reverse your flight itinerary ie visit Canada first and then the UK with evidence (provisional bookings/refundable tickets if you prefer).... this will mean that you must leave Canada to visit the UK = better chances of getting TRVs

What kinds of Documents would be help to show ties to India (home town)?
Is there any specific term need to show them? Let me know if you have any check list of document would help for TRV? Or I missed any document to show them for ties to home town.
There's no checklist for proving strong ties to the home town.... it varies with each application.

In your case, you must focus on:
a. Your employment (the letter from your employer can state that you'll have your job when you return) + 6 months salary slips (if you have worked with your current employer for less than a year then submit the employment letter from the previous employer too) + put a must-return-by-date (for project completion, appraisal/promotion, wedding in the family.... with proofs)

b. Also, your properties + family ties in India + financial situation + previous travel history (explained in the previous posts)

Also, prepare a day-by-day itinerary listing out places/activities for your visit with expense estimates (local travel/entry fees/ meals/ shopping/ hotel/etc) .... and prove you have the finances for the itinerary + airfare + misc. expenses

Cheers

Hello Bryaana

Is it ok if we show a property in joint name with parents ?? And can we declare the gold as well ? We can get the valuation and add these things ?? And regarding the joint account, I have one which is held by myself and my mother. Can I show that as well ?? I also get salary in cash. So I cannot get a payslip. But this has even written in my employment letter. So will this cause problem ?? My job is since 10 months as I was doing my postgraduate on before that. And before my post graduation I was doing a job for 9 months and then left as I got admission in the post graduation course. So will I have to show papers regarding this ?? Please do guide.
