Hi,
I am an architect living in the Middle East for more than 10yrs now. Received my 3rd refusal for my TRV application as visitor visa but still i am willing to try as i really wanted to visit my family (aunts & grandparents).
Here is my history.
1st @ 2014 I applied as Skilled Immigrant but refused as i got 64 points only. I used Campbell Cohen consultant Bahrain based so perhaps you still have my file?
2nd @2014 i applied TRV Visitor visa and refused for the following reasons; 1.travel history; 2.limited employment prospects in my country of residence
3rd @2019 just this month of May with reason of 1. personal assets & financial status; 2.based on family ties in Canada in my country of residence.
Here is now my status;
1. I have US Visit visa for 10yrs, been to USA twice
2. I have a US citizen daughter which supposed to join me for the visit to canada
3. I have a current partner/father of my child (unfortunately did not declared the Common-law union due to lack of documents)
4. I have letter invitation from my aunt in Canada
5. I showed approximately 6,000 CAD total on my 2 accounts, a letter from my partner that he will sponsor our travel expenses

Now i just got news that my friend same my age 35- single and has a sister in canada just got her visa with a 3,000 Saudi Riyals in the bank account. What would be the reason why Canada keeps refusing my application?
Really appreciate response/opinions. Thanks!

FYI - this is a public forum. None of us here work for Campbell Cohen. We are normal people like you.

Did you have a child in the US as a visitor? That would definitely add to concerns about your visa. You are showing very little savings and also want to take your daughter so you won’t have strong ties to your home country. If you haven’t shown that you are married or common law you can’t use proof of your partner’s funds.

Yes i delivered in the US as visitor. I applied for 2weeks vacation only so thought the money i showed is enough plus my aunt indicated in her invitation letter that we will staying at her place the entire vacation. Perhaps main reason is me applied for the immigrant initially? At the last portion of the the immigration letter advised "You are welcome to reapply if you feel you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements".. Is this the same refusal message to everybody? Any advise if i should try again? I really want to visit my grandpa who is already staying in a homecare:-(

Yes - this is a standard line in the refusal letter. Everyone gets it.

Your funds are quite low. I would not recommend reapplying until you can show a significantly higher balance. Can you show proof of employment? Do you have any property or other assets in your name?

How recently did you give birth to your child in the US?

Would agree that your funds are too low. Would also think that there are concerns that you won't visit for the intended purpose after your birth tourism on a tourist visa in the US. If you didn't pay your hospital bills that would add even more to the concerns.

My funds were even lower when i applied 5 years back and the immigration officer didn't include that on the refusal list, my friend who just got her visa this week has approx 1,000 CAD on her account. I paid all the hospital bills and left US before my visa expired. But yes perhaps its also one of the main concern.

I have a No Objection Certificate letter from my employer for my travel, my salary is directly transferred to my bank account shown. Unfortunately no assets, just accomodation receipts which i also showed in my documents.
Had my baby 2 years ago... So i guess really need a fortune of money to visit my grandparents:-( Thanks a lot for the response.

Every situation is different. Perhaps your friend had a supervisa. The general letter doesn't get into all the reasons but they feel like finances is a problem. If you want more explanation order the GCMS notes.

If you did birth tourism 2 years ago in the US and there are repercussion of birth tourism. Although it is legal it isn't endorsed or encouraged.
