Visitor Visa - Need Help URGENT

Hi,

My mother-in-law visited Canada on Dec 24,2014 through visitor visa. The visa validity is from Nov 19,2014 to May 01,2015.

The date of entry to Canada is Dec 24,2014. Can her stay in Canada be for 6 months ie till June 24,2015 or she has to leave Canada before May 01,2015.

If she has to leave Canada before May 01,2015, what is the process for extending her stay and how to go about with this ?. Kindly guide us.

If there is no date written under the stamp then she can stay 6 months.
