You are about 10 days over the processing time... You probably dont have to worry too much . We were quoted 14 days and we have been waiting for over 5 weeks now and are still waiting. We applied in Kingston Jamaica. From what i understand, it seems to be kind of acceptable. i guess it teaches us patience

What are we really supposed to do, if there is only an answering machine when you call there. when you are told it can take up to 1 month to receive an answer to your email?( already 2 weeks in, on the email line up!) What are we supposed to do when we are 6 weeks in and the website says 2 weeks????? Absolutely nothing!! So we might as well learn something on the personal level. We can only be patient...That s all we have.

Many, many people from certain Countries apply for a visitor visa, then either overstay, disappear or attempt a refugee claim.
Do not blame CIC for long processing times, blame the people that try and scam their way into Canada illegally.

can someone help me to find....the right way
I am pakistani national and had a friend here in the canadian high comission islamabad. he posted to costa rica. he invited me to come to costa rica and send me some visa authorization letter from the foreign ministry of costa rica because here in islamabad there is no embassy of costa rica. he send me those documents through canadian high comission islamabad for validation. i got it and i visited to costa rica. now i am in pakistan and he suppose to invite me canada for visit. what kind of documents should i need. if any body have any idea please tell me.

Hi Riamo, if you are in Canada your best bet will be to go to local MP's office and explain ur situation to the admins there, they usually have a personnel dealing with immigration issues and they can get an answer from islamabad about ur mom' visa.riamo said:
