Can I Apply for a Visitor Visa inside Canada having an eTa?

My daugther is In Canadá with student visa I´m here to be with her, I´m her sponsor working online for a Mexican Company. The situation is that a friend with work visa came to Canada driving my Mexican Car, so the question would be then what do I need to drive my car in Canada having only the Eta.

How are you entitled to remain in Canada to begin with? How long have you been visiting? A child studying in Canada does not entitle parents to remain in Canada

Short term visitors don’t bring there cars

As mentioned you are aware you’re not allowed to just set up camp here in Canada while your child is in school ?
Right ? Working remotely is irrelevant and people seem to think working remotely gives one the ability to live anywhere without being authorized
