Hello All,
My younger sister (she is 23 years old and studying undergraduate in Bangladesh) is planning to apply for visitor visa in Canada. One university professor will sponsor her. looking answer for some questions:

1. She doesn't have any bank account. will father's bank statement be sufficient and how much money should be shown? (University professor from Canada will state in the letter of invitation that he will bear all the costs).

2. She doesn't visited any country so far and her passport is relatively new (less that one year old).

3. How she can prove that she will return to home country? (College documents?)

4. How many days for visit will be wise to mention?

Thanks

Hi,

My Mom is coming to visit us next week with TRV. It is not a super visa. I would like to buy a one way ticket. Is there any problem with the immigration for not having a return ticket? The travel agencies are not encouraging and they are pushing to buy the return ticket. The reason for buying one way is my mom can't travel alone and we have to find out someone to accompany her for her return trip and I want to have an open option so that we can make the arrangement.

Any experience or opinion?

Yes - a one way ticket will likely be a very big problem. Chance are high she won't even be allowed to board the flight to Canada by the airline. You need to purchase a return ticket.
