Visitor Visa For PR Applicant

Hi! I have applied for PR through Express Entry on April 25, 2021, and haven't received any update from IRCC yet. My boyfriend is currently in Canada on a work permit and I'd like to visit him in the coming months.

I plan to stay in Canada for less than 6 months. What should I list as my main purpose of visit? I was planning on selecting 'To visit family and/or friends'

Has anyone been in a similar situation and received TRV? Do you have any advice or suggestion?

Yes, that's the right selection for purpose of visit.

You should show strong ties to your home country to be approved (e.g. employment, property, assets) and also show you have a sufficient bank balance to pay for your trip. If you have previous travel to countries like the US or US that require a visa (or Canada), that will increase the chances of approval.
